Boil Water Notice.

Tasman residents, especially those within the affected zone of the last two flooding events are advised to boil water before use.

If you have a private bore, anywhere in the district, it is recommended that you boil your water following the recent flooding. Shallow bores in any location can be contaminated from surface water, but especially when there has been heavy rain and groundwater levels rise to be much closer to the surface than normal.

More information on boiling water can be found on the Tasman District Council website: Drinking water from a private bore following the storm | Tasman District Council

A rāhui remains in place across Nelson Tasman, a rāhui is just a mechanism used to implement health and safety for our community.
